At the Fast Forward Festival 2014 there will be childcare organised during 10am and 5pm. Childcare will be organised to cater for the different ages of kids who will coming to the festival. Please contact the Festival organisers now if you are planning on coming and bringing kids; and please also let us know if you don’t want or don’t necessarily want a paid child-carer to look after them. Also children are welcome in the various sessions if you / they prefer as long as we can keep the sessions running without too much disruption. As well there are lots of activities planned that both adults and kids can do together. The following activities have been organised by parents and friends in addition to the childcare being organised. Please note some activities are age specific and some require parents and carers to join in.

Afternoon:

Welcome to Edale - Identification Walk

We will be having a short walk, lasting roughly 2 hours, to see what we can find and give pointers for looking for and identifying things when you're out in the country. It will be child friendly and we'll be encouraging people to join in with anything they might recognise. We have 2 people running the event but it would be great if there are any people who are particularly into nature identification who might want to help out. We'd also really appreciate any identification books or binoculars you might be able to lend on the walk. If you know how to recognise different trees, birds, mushrooms, insects or any other naturey things and fancy sharing that knowledge with some others please let us know!
